I'm a lover of all things documentaries. I'm your girl if your jam is true crime, cults, fraud, nature, space, or anything in between. Travel is at the top of my priority list and I'm always daydreaming about where I'm off to next with my husband!
Becoming a hairstylist wasn't a childhood dream for me, but who the heck really knows what they want to be when they are little... Right?
Coming from a large blended family, and living in suburbia, I knew I wanted a career where I could be creative, independent and flexible (ya know... for those much needed vacays). What I didn't know was this career was going to give me SO much more than that. I'm so incredibly thankful the universe has lead me down this path. I don't even know what I would be doing if I wasn't a hairstylist...
I finished beauty school in 2010 and opened my very own studio 8 years later in the heart of Downtown Wheaton. I absolutely love the privacy it gives me and my guests to connect and create the hair of their dreams. You never have to worry about being left at the shampoo bowl, or forgotten about while you process. Our experience together is one on one and you have my undivided attention. I not only respect your hair, I also respect your time, and most importantly, you as a person.
I may not look or act like most hairdressers, but I think that's what makes me approachable and unintimidating. I can see and feel my guests become immediately comfortable after I crack my first dumb joke of the appointment. I've come to realize that this is my super power; everyone has one.
I absolutely love to travel and explore. If you ask me, I usually have a trip in the works. It almost always includes some sort of camping and sleeping on the ground, but my husband Matthew and I wouldn't have it any other way. We are slowly checking off one national park at a time, and we can't wait to see the world!
